Spring 2012 collection was all about gorgeous and sophisticated dresses inspired from mother-of-pearl. Show opened with Coco Rocha stepping on runway amongst projected backdrop of water ripples and the sound of crashing waves.
There were sensual, pearly and water-inspired designs drenched in elegant draping and tailoring, grabbing a lot of attention.
Armani woman was clad in in pearly fabrics of lightweight silk, satin with abstract prints, dresses with loose-fitted silhouettes and dresses decorated with sequins for a nighttime.
There were slinky silver and indigo wrap shirts and slit-front trousers, collarless blazers, wrap skirts, satin jackets, day dresses, chiffon blouses and calf-length skirts sleek skirt suits, black and indigo striped blazers.
Fine tailoring was prominent in kimono-style jackets cut on the bias, angular jackets worn as tops, shell-like shapes on bodiced dresses, shimmery sequin tops with slit at the front.
Beauty of sea was visible in strapless gowns with crescent-shaped bodices worn by models in royal blue, cerulean and green hues.
Along with chic dresses, accessories including clutches, large woven totes, snakeskin shoulder bags, printed obi belts, strappy sandals, and oversized hats, were also chic.
